Assam: 4 wheeler overturned on Tuesday morning
Guwahati: An accident took place in the city on Tuesday morning. Although the vehicle suffered considerable damage in the incident, no one sitting inside was injured. But the driver of the two-wheeler that was hit by the vehicle was injured and was referred for medical treatment. The incident occurred around 4:30 in the morning.
The incident took place on the morning of the third day in Sunderpur locality of the city. The vehicle was moving at high speed, making it difficult to control. It was told that the driver had lost control while trying to save a two-wheeler.
Apart from the damage caused to the vehicle, the driver and passengers were relatively unharmed. According to reports, the two-wheeler also suffered some damage and its driver also suffered some injuries. He was then transferred to a hospital for medical care.
Earlier, a young man died in a tragic accident on NH-15 in Mazgaon of Boginadi area of Lakhimpur district, while another was seriously injured. The deceased was identified as Bikram Sonowal (21), son of Lalit Saikia, resident of Tariyani village. The injured youth was identified as Jeetul Sonowal (22), son of Manik Hazarika, resident of the same village. According to reports received, the accident occurred when a motorcycle, bearing registration N. O AS 07 W 5836, guided by Bikram Sonowal, in a concrete pillar, installed along NH-15, after returning at 23 hrs, when Pai was returning to Boginadi’s house after closing the liquor shop owned by Bikram . Bikram died locally, while Jeetul suffered serious leg injuries. Later, both of them were recovered by Boginadi police and shifted to Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital.
