Assam businessman shot dead by unidentified miscreants, three suspects taken into custody

Guwahati (IANS)| Unidentified miscreants killed a businessman in Assam’s Dhubri district. Officials gave this information on Thursday. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday at the victim’s house in Bilasipara area of the district. The victim, Baseer Ali, was a well-known and well-known businessman of the area. According to the police, Ali was shot from close range by unknown assailants.

After committing the crime, the miscreants fled from the spot. After getting information about the case, the local police reached the spot and started the investigation. The police have also found an empty cartridge at the crime scene.

Dhubri Superintendent of Police Aparna Natarajan told IANS, “Based on the preliminary investigation and the statements of Ali’s wife, we came to know that the man had multiple businesses involving transactions of a lot of money.” We are probing the matter from every angle.

Police have detained three suspects in connection with the case. His identity has not been revealed by the police. Natarajan said that we have detained some people for questioning. Ali’s wife told us that she could not see the faces of the miscreants who shot her husband.
