Assault after entering the house, case registered

Mahasamund. In Khamharmuda of Khallari police station area of Mahasamund district, a tribal family was beaten up by miscreants after entering their house. The victim tribal family lodged a written complaint at Khallari police station, but they allege that the police has not registered an FIR. Frustrated, he along with his family has given a written application to Mahasamund Special Police Station, Ajak, demanding action. There are injury marks on the bodies of the husband and wife due to the fight. Information has been received that at around 8 pm on 22nd November, some people of the village entered the house of a tribal family and interrogated the woman Parvati Diwan about her husband. On hearing that her husband was out of the house, Toshan Sahu, Heera Sahu, Manoj Sahu, Manohar Sahu and Parmeshwar Sahu beat her severely with sticks and threatened to kill the family.

Meanwhile, when the victim’s husband Mayaram Diwan also reached home, the bullies beat him severely with sticks. The bullies also abused the victim’s 19-year-old daughter and threatened to kill all three. The victim’s tribal family alleges that when they reached Khallari police station on November 23, the second day of the incident, and wanted to lodge a written complaint, the police asked them to change the application. Kept in the police station for about five hours. Late in the evening all the families returned to their homes. The next day, on 24th November, the entire family again reached Khallari police station and applied again. But this time also the police refused to accept the application. Tired and exhausted, the tribal family reached Mahasamund Special Police Station on Sunday and submitted a written application for action. Khallari police station in-charge could not be contacted in this regard.
