Assembly elections: Various groups formed in Congress

Tamil Nadu: All India Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal has announced the appointment of five committees on behalf of the Congress party for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, including a Campaign Committee and an Election Report Preparation Committee.
He issued a statement in this regard on Friday: With the approval of All India Congress Committee leader Mallikarjun Kharge, five committees have been constituted to oversee operations for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Election Committee: A 37-member committee has been formed under the leadership of Tamil Nadu Congress President K. Selvaperunthagai.
Campaign Committee: A 51-member committee has been formed under the leadership of former MP A. Chellakumar.
Election Report Preparation Committee: A 26-member committee has been formed under the leadership of Sivaganga Lok Sabha member Karti P. Chidambaram.
Advertisement and Communication Committee: A 73-member committee has been formed under the leadership of Kanyakumari Lok Sabha member Vijay Vasanth.
Election Coordination Committee: A 12-member committee has been formed under the leadership of Virudhunagar Lok Sabha member Manickam Tagore. The statement adds that the Congress party should extend its full cooperation to this committee.
