Attack on police, 6 accused arrested
Sarhasa. Last Saturday in Saharsa, during a raid in Khojri Bhagwanpur village of Baijnathpur OP area, villagers surrounded the police and carried out a deadly attack. An FIR was registered against 20 named and 30-40 unidentified people in Baijnathpur Saurabazar police station regarding this matter. In which 5 accused have been arrested. SP Upendra Nath Verma said that the police station chief was bringing a suspicious person from Khojari Bhagwanpur village of Baijnathpur for questioning. During the same time, stones were pelted at the police team by local villagers and people of criminal element.
In which police station incharge Armod Kumar and sub inspector Arun Kumar were injured. A team was formed under the leadership of Sadar SDPO to unravel this scandal. The said team included SC Asti police station incharge Sanjay Das, Saurabazar police station incharge Avinash Kumar Singh, Sonvarsha Kachhari police station incharge Varsha Kumari. A raid was conducted by the team in which a total of 6 accused were arrested. All the accused are said to be residents of Khojri Bhagwanpur village ward no. 5 of Baijnathpur OP area. The arrested have been identified as Manoj Yadav, Pappu Yadav, Subhash Yadav, Ganesh Yadav, Jai Kishore Yadav.
