Attempt to burn woman alive, husband and brother-in-law abducted her

Bareilly. A woman was kidnapped by her husband and brother-in-law and tried to burn her alive near Nakatiya bridge. During this time a young man came there. Seeing this the accused fled away. At present, the woman has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.

According to the information, Afsana 30’s wife Imran of Sabarkheda of Hafizganj police station told that 5 years ago she was married to Imran, a resident of CBganj. About 3 years ago, her husband tried to kill her by burning her alive, since then she has been living in her maternal home. Today she had come to Bareilly to take medicine.

She alleges that during this time her husband Imran along with brother-in-law Guddu Javed and Irfan put her in the UCO Maruti car. He put him in the car and brought him near Naktiya bridge. Where an attempt was made to burn me alive. They were about to sprinkle diesel on it and set it on fire when a young man came there. Seeing him the accused ran away.
