Attempt to murder businessman, condition critical due to knife attack

Korba: Two accused attacked a young man with a knife near Ratakhar bridge in the district. The young man was seriously injured in the attack, while another young man who came to the rescue was also injured. The case is of City Kotwali area.

According to information, Afroz Ansari and Firoz Ansari, residents of Kusmunda, had a dispute with Firoz Malik over a small matter. Firoz Malik has a tire shop in Block-15. He was returning home after closing the shop with his friend Sahil Yadav. Meanwhile, Afroz and Firoz Ansari reached there in their Scorpio near Ratakhar bridge and started arguing about the old matter.

Both the accused threatened the youths and said that their reach is very high. After this, he started fighting with Firoz Malik while abusing him. After this he was attacked with a knife. When Sahil came to save him, the accused also injured him. Both the youths fled after the incident. The people present on the spot have admitted both the injured youths to the private hospital of the city for treatment. People told that they tried to nab the accused, but they fled. After the incident, resentment is being seen among other businessmen regarding the law and order of the city.
