Attempt to rape a female doctor in a hotel

Korba. An employee tried to rape a female doctor staying in a hotel located in front of the SP office. The incident that happened at around 2 o’clock in the night created a stir, in which the police, with the help of CCTV, detained the accused hotel cleaner and is interrogating him.

According to the information, four doctors who came from Sakti district for training in Korba District Medical College Hospital were staying at Top in Town Hotel. 2 female doctors went back after the training was over, while two doctors were staying in separate rooms. At around 2 o’clock in the night, the accused jumped from the window and entered the room and tried to rape the female doctor. During this, when the female doctor protested, the accused started threatening her by saying that he would kill her with a knife. Finally, scared by the woman’s screams, the accused ran away.

The police was informed about the incident. Civil Line police station reached the spot and examined the CCTV footage, in which the accused was identified as 35-year-old Raja Khadiya, a hotel cleaner. The police took him into custody and started interrogating him.
