Attempt to transfer paddy to another farmer’s account fails, seizure action taken

Baloda Bazar. As directed by the state government, paddy procurement at the support price has been ongoing smoothly in the district since November 15th. The district administration is ensuring transparency, ease, convenience for farmers, and strict monitoring of brokers and middlemen during paddy procurement. As a result of this strict monitoring, on Monday, a farmer’s attempt to illegally sell paddy into another farmer’s account was thwarted by the market team, and 22 bags of paddy were seized.
According to information received, farmer Tuleshwar Prasad Verma was attempting to illegally sell 22 bags of paddy belonging to another farmer at the Karamda paddy procurement center. Upon inquiry and investigation by officials, the 22 bags of paddy brought for sale were found to belong to another farmer and were immediately confiscated.
It is noteworthy that Collector Deepak Soni has directed strict monitoring and action against illegal paddy transportation, storage, and consumption at the procurement center.
