Audi India touches 1 lakh mark by selling 5,816 units in 2024
MUMBAI MUMBAI: German luxury carmaker Audi on Wednesday said it has sold 5,816 units in India this year, with 1,927 retail units sold in the fourth quarter (Q4) alone. In addition, the automaker has achieved the milestone of selling 100,000 units in the country so far. The brand’s pre-owned car business ‘Audi Approved: Plus’ has recorded a robust growth of 32 per cent in 2024 compared to last year, the company reported.
Audi India Head Balbir Singh Dhillon said, “The first half of 2024 brought supply-related challenges for Audi India, yet the continued demand for our products reflects our customers’ unwavering trust in the brand.” With better supply in the second half of 2024, volumes improved by 36 per cent in the fourth quarter compared to the previous quarter. “This year also marked a major milestone of selling 100,000 cars in India. With the launch of the new Audi Q8 and the new Audi Q7, along with a strong portfolio, we are closing the year strongly in the fourth quarter and expect sales to grow further,” Dhillon said.
The automaker inaugurated its largest luxury used car showroom in the North-East region in Guwahati, followed by a new facility in Mangalore.Currently with 26 facilities across key hubs in India, the brand plans to further expand this network to meet the growing demand for pre-owned luxury cars.”We remain optimistic about the long-term potential of the Indian luxury car market and are committed to delivering the best experience to our customers,” Dhillon said.
