Azad promises to enact law to ensure jobs, land security

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and DPAP president Ghulam Nabi Azad today promised that if his party comes to power, a law will be made to ensure job and land security for the local people.

Addressing a public meeting at Abhama in Rajpora area of Pulwama today, Azad underlined the critical need to create employment opportunities for local residents by emphasizing on various projects in Jammu and Kashmir.
They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen the economy of the region by promoting tourism and horticulture sectors, which will lead to sustainable growth and development. Azad advocated for uninterrupted transportation of fruits by declaring trucks carrying fruits as emergency vehicles, thereby ensuring uninterrupted logistics operations without any interruption on the route. Azad highlighted his tenure by highlighting his efforts in approving several tourism and developmental projects for the betterment of the community. However, he expressed disappointment at the withdrawal of support from the coalition party, citing insecurity stemming from his work. He stressed his dedication towards serving the people and achieving what he had set out to achieve during his tenure.
Despite the challenges and setbacks he has faced, he remains firm in his belief that completing these projects is essential for the progress and prosperity of the region. He reaffirmed his party’s commitment to protect land and job rights and ensure the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted his party’s important role in leading the grassroots fight against land eviction orders, which forced the government to stop bulldozing.
Azad announced his party’s commitment to reinstate the Roshni scheme and provide free electricity for the underprivileged in Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed the importance of these initiatives in addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by the people of the region. The Roshni scheme, which aims to provide legal ownership rights to those living on state land, had earlier empowered many families by providing them ownership of land they had occupied for years.
Azad underlined the importance of reinstating the scheme to continue supporting vulnerable communities and ensuring their safety and stability. He promised to provide free electricity to economically deprived families in Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative aims to reduce the financial burden and improve the quality of life of those in need, promoting social well-being and inclusivity.

Commitment to give priority to the interests and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. By reinstating the Roshni scheme and providing free electricity, his party aims to promote greater equality, prosperity and empowerment across the region.
