Babri Masjid demolition anniversary: Police on high alert in Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu: Police across Tamil Nadu have been placed on high alert on the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition.
Every year on December 6th, the day the Babri Masjid was demolished in Ayodhya, some Muslim organizations hold protests. This is why the police have been put on high alert throughout Tamil Nadu.
Security has been heightened across the state for the past few days to prevent any untoward incidents.
Security has been particularly increased in crowded places such as airports, bus stands, markets, temples, churches, mosques, and shopping malls. Everyone is being checked with metal detectors at these crucial locations.
Similarly, police are conducting intensive vehicle checks in important areas and major road junctions across the city. Police are also conducting surprise checks in hotels and hostels. 1.2 lakh police personnel have been deployed for this security operation.
Chennai: Police in Chennai have also been placed on high alert. Strict surveillance is being maintained at Koyambedu Market, the bus stand, Parrys Corner, and T. Nagar.
Similarly, police surveillance and patrolling have been increased throughout the city. Police are conducting intensive vehicle checks at night at important road junctions and politically sensitive areas. 15,000 police personnel are involved in this security operation.
