San Francisco. The sale of Apple’s watches with blood oxygen sensors will be banned in the US from Thursday. The US Appeals Court has given this order. The ban stems from an intellectual property dispute with Masimo, a medical device company. The International Trade Commission found in October that Apple’s blood oxygen sensor infringed Masimo’s intellectual property.
Following the ban, Apple will not be able to import the related devices, which include the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2. Apple briefly removed the affected watches from its online and retail stores in December, while retailers with those devices in stock can still sell them.
