Ban on burning of firecrackers till January 31, order for these cities

Durg: In compliance with the order passed by the National Green Tribunal Principal Batch, New Delhi regarding the use of firecrackers, the state government has banned the burning of firecrackers in the urban areas of Raipur, Bilaspur, Bhilai-Durg, Raigarh and Korba during the period from December 1 to January 31 every year. Has been banned. In this regard, according to the notification published in Chhattisgarh Gazette, sale of only green firecrackers has been ensured in the state.

The duration of bursting crackers on the occasion of Diwali, Chhath, Gurupurva and New Year/Christmas has been fixed at 2 hours. According to which, the time period for Diwali is from 8 pm to 10 pm, Chhath Puja is from 6 am to 8 am, Guru Parva is from 8 pm to 10 pm and New Year/Christmas is from 11:55 pm to 12:30 am. According to the notification published in the Gazette, burning of firecrackers increases air pollution in winter season. To prevent air pollution, the government, using the powers granted under the statutory provisions of the Pollution Prevention and Control Act, burst firecrackers in the urban areas of Raipur, Bilaspur, Bhilai-Durg, Raigarh and Korba during the period from December 1 to January 31.
