Ban on drones for PM Modi’s meeting

Hyderabad: Prohibitory Measures Enforced for Drones and Flying Machines Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Visit

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit and public meeting in Tukkuguda, Pahadishareef, Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure will be enforced within a 20-kilometer radius. Rachakonda Police Commissioner D.S. Chauhan issued an order on Friday imposing a ban on the use of drones and any other remotely controlled flying devices in the area. The order explicitly prohibits activities involving remotely controlled drones, para-gliders, or micro-light aircraft within the vicinity of the public meeting venue situated in the limits of the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.

The order will remain in effect for a duration of one day, from 6 am on November 25 to 6 am on November 26.

Additionally, a similar prohibition has been enforced by Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Stephen Raveendra, covering a 5-kilometer radius around Hakimpet Air Force Station, Kanha Shanthi Vanam, Nandigama, and their surrounding areas. This restriction has been put in place in anticipation of Modi’s visit scheduled between November 25 and 27, aiming to prevent the use of drones and any type of flying machines during this period.
