Bangladesh Orders Indefinite Ban On Ipl Telecast After Mustafizur Row
Bangladesh: It is known that the dispute between India and Bangladesh started in the wake of the attack on Hindus in Bangladesh. In this context, the BCCI has ordered the removal of Bangladesh player Mustafizur from the IPL team. Due to this, the relations between Bangladesh and India are deteriorating further. In protest against the removal of Mustafizur, the government there has decided to ban the IPL in Bangladesh.
According to this, along with IPL broadcasts, there should be no promotion in the country. The Bangladesh government has also issued official orders to this effect. Recently, Mustafizur was bought by Kolkata team for Rs. 9.2 crore in a mini auction. Due to this, many people across the country criticized KKR and BCCI. On the one hand, while attacks on Hindus are taking place in Bangladesh, many people criticized the inclusion of a player from that country in the IPL team on social media. Responding to this, the BCCI issued orders to KKR to remove him. It said that it would allow someone else to replace him. With this, KKR decided to release Mustafizur.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has expressed its anger over this. It said that the BCCI’s decision has angered and shocked the people of Bangladesh. If this is done, their team will not participate in the T20 World Cup to be held in India and has asked the ICC to change the venues of their matches from India. The BCB said that it has decided not to send its players to India for the safety of its cricketers. The ICC will discuss this issue soon. According to the already decided schedule, Bangladesh is supposed to play four matches in India. If the venues are changed from India as requested by the BCB, there is a chance of playing in Sri Lanka.
