BBMP worker stabbed to death over minor argument

A 26-year-old BBMP worker was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend in Byatarayanpura police station limits following a minor argument.

Police arrested Prabhu, a 29-year-old autorickshaw driver, for attacking Bharat with a sharp object on his neck.

On Monday around 12.30 pm, Bharath and some others including Prabhu went to Pantarapalya to see their dead friend. While they were talking, an argument broke out between Prabhu and Bharat which escalated rapidly.

The Lord got angry and attacked Bharat with some sharp object on his neck and other parts of his body. Bharat was taken by his friends to Victoria Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Byatarayanpura police registered a case under IPC section 302 (murder) and arrested Prabhu hours after the incident.
