Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited bids from reputed institutions to acquire the rights and obligations to organize the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League season 2024.
The detailed terms and conditions governing the tender process including eligibility requirements, procedure for submission of bids, rights and obligations etc. are contained in the ‘Request for Proposal’ (“RFP”), which will be made available upon receipt of payment. . A non-refundable fee of Rs 1,00,000 (One Lakh Indian Rupees only) and any applicable Goods and Services Tax.
The process for receiving RFP documents is listed in Annex A of this notice. The RFP will be available for procurement till February 2, 2024. Interested parties are requested to email the details of payment made for procurement of RFP as per the procedure laid down in Annexure A to rfp@bcci.tv.
It is clarified that the RFP documents will be shared only upon confirmation of payment of non-refundable RFP fee. Any interested party wishing to submit a bid is required to purchase the RFP. However, only those meeting the eligibility criteria prescribed in the RFP and subject to other terms and conditions stipulated therein, will be eligible to bid.
It is clarified that mere purchase of RFP does not entitle any person to bid. BCCI reserves the right to cancel or modify the bidding process at any stage without assigning any reason. IPL 2024 is likely to be played from the third week of March, with the final schedule coming after the dates for India’s general elections are revealed by the Election Commissioner of India (ECI).
