Bhopal: A clash broke out between the Vishva Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and the Christian community over allegations of religious conversions.

Madhya Pradesh: Violence erupted in the Katanga area on Christmas Day when members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and BJP clashed with members of the Christian community.

The incident occurred behind Hawabagh College, where a feast was being held for hundreds of students, including children from a local school for the visually impaired.

Hindu activists stormed the venue, alleging that the event was a pretext for forced religious conversions. The situation escalated into a violent clash, with activists reportedly beating several people, while community members retaliated in self-defense.

Anju Bhargava (BJP leader) stated that they acted on specific information regarding illegal conversion activities. The Gorakhpur police station in-charge confirmed that the police have brought the situation under control and have launched a formal investigation into the conversion claims.

According to reports, the activists allegedly beat several people, after which members of the Christian community retaliated in self-defense. However, BJP leader Anju Bhargava insisted that the event was a cover for religious conversions. The situation is now under control, and the police have initiated a formal investigation into the allegations of forced conversions.
