Bhopal: Changes in new guidelines of Bhauri due to High Court order, circle rates reduced
Madhya Pradesh: Authorities have reconsidered and reduced the guideline rates applicable to Bhauri, Municipal Corporation Ward No. 03. Under the newly issued guidelines (FY 2025-26), the administration had previously increased the circle rate of land in the Bhauri area by nearly 300 percent.
This substantial increase was challenged in the Jabalpur High Court by the petitioner, a farmer.
Paras Panjwani, the lawyer representing his case,
stated before the court that in February 2025, authorities issued a notification seeking objections and suggestions regarding the proposed guideline rates, to which the petitioner submitted a detailed representation. However, since these objections were not considered, the petitioner was forced to file a writ of mandamus in the High Court, seeking the cancellation of the newly notified circle rate.
