Bhopal: Woman gives birth to child as soon as Mumbai Mail coach is converted into maternity ward
Bhopal: Nikhat Parveen, 28, who was 36 weeks pregnant, started labor pain while traveling to Parasnath station with her husband and two children in the Mumbai Mail on Friday.
Although her delivery date was fixed for January 7, as the train approached Maihar station, she started having labor pains. Luck smiled on her because Dr. Shailesh Lunawat, a radiologist from Bhopal, was Parveen’s coach.
Embodying the spirit of goodwill, Dr Lunawat decided to convert the train into a berthing suite. Despite the initial lack of response from TC when informed about the situation, Dr Lunawat gathered the necessary materials with the help of fellow passengers and helped Parveen deliver her baby girl in the train.
As soon as the first cry of the newborn was heard in the train, Dr. Lunawat immediately contacted the Maihar station master. The station master took prompt action and safely took the mother and her daughter to Maihar Hospital.
BMC removed encroachment from New Market
Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) with the help of traffic police on Friday launched a massive anti-encroachment drive in and around New Market. Last week, a woman fell ill and the vehicle carrying her could not pass through the market due to heavy encroachment.
Then Mayor Malti Rai noticed the encroachment in and around New Market. Mayor-in-Council member Jagdish Yadav said, “BMC removed encroachments from New Market with the help of traffic police. This removed street vendors, autorickshaws and other vehicles parked in no-parking zones.
There is multi level parking in New Market. Anti-encroachment campaign will continue. After this, the extensions of the shops will be removed and then the vendors doing illegal business in the New Market will be asked to leave from there.
In May, Collector Ashish Singh had ordered to remove encroachment from around New Market. Hand cart vendors were removed from New Market, Rang Mahal and TT Nagar police station areas. Following his instructions, parking around New Market was removed.
