Bhuban Youth dies in jumbo attack

Bhuban: A 30-year-old man from Dhenkanal district, who was seriously injured in a tusker attack, died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

The deceased, Madan Behera of Basudevpur village under the Bhuban police limits, was attacked by a tusker on Tuesday morning when he left his home. The elephant reportedly picked him up with its trunk and threw him, causing serious internal injuries.

He was rescued and taken to a hospital, where he died on Wednesday morning.

Bhuban Ranger Rakesh Kumar Dalei assured that government assistance would be provided.
