Big accident on the first Monday of Sawan in Katihar’s Kadhagola Ganga Ghat, 4 children died due to drowning

A major accident took place on the first Monday of Sawan at Kadhagola Ganga Ghat in Katihar. Four people died due to drowning while taking a bath here. According to the information, on the first Monday of the month of Sawan, the devotees came to Kadhagola Ganga Ghat for bath. People from Kheria village of Kodha block had come to bathe in the Ganges. The devotees were taking a bath in the Ganges, when the news of the drowning of a child was received. To save the drowning child, the rest of the people present there also jumped into the river. 6 people drowned in no time. Two people were saved by the boatman present there but four children died.

However, all the people were brought to the Community Health Center in Burari for treatment by the local people. There the doctor declared four dead.
Police engaged in investigation
Among those who died are Shivam Kumar 15 years old father Tarun Das, Mohan Kumar 18 years old father Ratan Das, Harsh Kumar 14 years old father Sanjay Das, Pappu Kumar 16 years old. All the deceased were residents of the same village Kheria in Kodha. At present, the dead bodies of all the dead have been handed over to the relatives. On the other hand, Barari CO Lalan Kumar Mandal reached the spot and started investigating the matter. After the incident, mourning has spread in the entire district and the family members are in bad condition by crying.
