Big B said to those having guns without license, ‘You are breaking the law’

New Delhi (IANS). Megastar Amitabh Bachchan issued a warning to those possessing guns without a license and stressed on the need to obtain a license.

Quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ season 15 host Big B welcomed rollover contestant Varun Kesarwani from Ayodhya, UP on the hot seat.

While talking to the contestant, the ‘Paa’ fame actor asked, “Do your parents live with you or in Ayodhya?”

Varun replied, Sir, my parents live in Ayodhya. There is my ancestral home and we have a joint family. We are in the business of arms and ammunition. This has been our family business for the last 80 years.

Varun shared that like all fathers, my father was also a visionary. He realized that I should not be involved in the business. So they decided to send me out of the city for further education. Today it is difficult to obtain a weapons license in India. I guess that’s right in a way.

He further said that Sir, there was a time when it had its own benefits, about which I want to tell you. My parents also had a love marriage. At that time, when marriages took place, many armed people used to participate in the procession. It was like marrying into a family that had guns. It was in trend at that time. It was a status symbol then, which it is not now.

Varun said that the world is changing. As we have seen in America, such tragic incidents are happening with primary school children every day. I would say it is a good step by our government.

Speaking on the same, the 80-year-old actor said that you said a wonderful thing, Varun. It is not only a dangerous weapon, but it is also harmful for the society. To all viewers watching the show, if you have a gun for which you are not licensed, you are breaking the law. Quickly obtain a license and declare your weapon.
