Big news came out regarding INDIA alliance
New Delhi. The question regarding seat sharing remains in front of the opposition alliance ‘India’ united against BJP. Meetings are also being held but even after a fortnight of January, the formula for distribution of seats could not be decided. In the meeting of India Alliance held in Delhi on December 19 last year, most of the parties had said that we should finalize the seat distribution as soon as possible. Meanwhile, senior leaders have advised the alliance regarding delay in seat sharing. Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah said that if an agreement on seat sharing is not reached soon, there is a threat to the India alliance. Some members may try to form a separate group.
Abdullah said, “If the seat-sharing arrangement is not finalized, there is a danger to the alliance. This should be done in a time bound manner. It is possible that some parties may come together to form a separate alliance, which seems to me to be the biggest danger. There is still time.” He further said that parties should demand only those seats where they have dominance and it is wrong to demand seats where they are not effective. In Solapur, Maharashtra, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar said that the opposition parties which united to defeat the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) should not rest until they are removed from power.
Amidst these advice, RJD chief Lalu Yadav, who is part of the India alliance, met Bihar Chief Minister and JDU chief Nitish Kumar. There has been a dispute between RJD, JDU, Congress and Left regarding seat sharing in Bihar. However, the alliance leaders have rejected these claims. Tejashwi Yadav, who returned to his residence after the meeting, said that the rumors of rift are different from the “ground reality”. The Deputy Chief Minister said, “I feel sad when you people ask such questions which are completely different from the ground reality. After all, why is there so much curiosity about when the seat distribution in the Grand Alliance can take its final form? Has the BJP-led NDA resolved this within its camp?
