Bike hits bicycle on National Highway, youth dies

Mahasamund. A young man riding a bicycle was hit by a bike from behind near village Bhukel on NH-53 under Basna police station. Due to which he died on the spot. While the injured bike driver was taken to Basna Hospital.

Police said that Roopdhar alias Pappu, father Sadaram Sahis, 30 years, resident of Jagat, was coming from Bhukel to village Jagat on his bicycle. In the afternoon, a Bajaj Pulsar driver without number hit the bicycle. Due to which he fell from the bicycle. He died on the spot due to serious injuries. Information was given to 112 team. 112 and 108 vehicles reached the spot. Of the 108 injured, they were taken to Basna Hospital for first aid. After the Panchnama of the deceased Roopdhar, the body was handed over to the family members. The police have registered a case against the bike driver under section 304 of the Indian Penal Code.
