Bike rider crushed by unknown vehicle, death

Baloda. A young man who was returning to the village after leaving his sister at her in-laws’ house was hit by an unknown vehicle due to which the young man died. The incident took place at Baloda police station. According to the information, Shekhar Kumar, resident of village Dhatura police station Hardi Bazar district Korba, had gone on Tuesday morning at 11 am on his bike number CG 12 AT 2244 to drop his elder sister Kiran to her in-laws village Silli Pamgarh. He was returning home after leaving his sister when at 7 pm near Government New College, Bhilai on Korba Road, the driver of an unknown vehicle hit him and ran away.

On receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and Shekhar Kumar was brought to Baloda Community Health Center by ambulance. He had serious injuries on his right leg, head, forehead, right hand, stomach and chest. The doctor declared Shekhar dead after examination. His relatives were informed about this and the body was kept in the mortuary. After the PM on Wednesday morning, the body was handed over to the relatives for cremation. Police have registered a case against the unknown driver under Section 304A and are investigating.
