Bike rider died due to falling of high tension wire

Korba. 11 KV wire broke and fell on the bike rider who went to pluck flowers. The person got burnt along with the bike after coming in the grip of high voltage current. The villagers are accusing the Electricity Department of negligence for the incident. The incident is of Sendripali under Kartala police station area. The deceased had gone to pluck flowers in the nursery near Tarachand Agarwal village. During this, the 11 KV wire passing from above fell. Due to the high voltage, the person along with the bike got burnt on the spot. After the incident, there was a crowd of villagers. Kartla police station has reached the spot and started investigation.

The villagers allege that the incident happened due to the negligence of the Electricity Department. Earlier, the villagers had written several letters to the Electricity Department to increase the height of the electric pole to remove the hanging 11 KV wire.
