Birthday Special: When Kriti Sanon’s pain spilled over on nepotism, she shook the film industry with her statement
Mumbai: There are some Bollywood celebrities who have not inherited acting. They made their mark in cinema on the basis of their excellent acting. Kriti Sanon is also one such actor, who is called an outsider of the industry. Today Kriti is celebrating her 34th birthday.
In an interview, Kriti Sanon openly spoke about nepotism. She said, “Everyone has their own journey. If I was from a film family, it would have been easier for me to work. People would already know me and I would have got opportunities quickly. But I am from a simple family, so I had to make my mark with my hard work.” Kriti, who has now become a well-known face of the big screen, is from Delhi. She was born on 27 July 1990 in a Punjabi family in Delhi. Father Rahul Senan is a chartered accountant, while mother Geeta Senan is a professor of physics at Delhi University. The actress did her schooling from Delhi Public School and did engineering from a college in Noida. Along with this, she also did modeling.
Kriti got her first big break not in Hindi cinema but in South cinema. She started her career with superstar Mahesh Babu’s Telugu thriller film ‘Nenokkadine’. She made her Bollywood debut with Tiger Shroff’s film ‘Heropanti’. This film was a blockbuster. For this, she also received the ‘IIFA Award Star Debut of the Year Female’ award.
