BJP, CPI(M) filed complaint against Youth Congress
Thiruvananthapuram (ANI): The BJP and CPI(M) on Friday lodged a complaint with the concerned authorities against the Kerala unit of the Youth Congress for allegedly making fake ID cards for their organizational elections.
Regarding this allegation, BJP State President K Surendran has complained against the Youth Congress to the Kerala DGP (Director General of Police) and the Election Commission.
BJP Thiruvananthapuram district president VV Rajesh alleged that the “fake ID cards” were made with the knowledge of Congress national general secretary KC Venugopal and opposition leader VD Satheesan.
VV Rajesh said, “Making ID cards is like printing fake notes. This is against the country, against the people of this country and against Indian democracy. This is completely a crime against the country.”
Meanwhile, CPI(M) youth wing DYFI also demanded action against Youth Congress leaders. DYFI alleged that this happened with the knowledge of the Congress leadership. However, Youth Congress state president Rahul Mankuttam claimed that the Youth Congress elections were transparent.
Rahul Mankuttam said, “It is good that BJP President K Surendran has brought these allegations to the media. His allegations are meaningless. He himself was involved in electoral malpractices.” (ANI)
