BJP leader attempts suicide by spraying petrol on himself at police station
Raipur. The BJYM leader tried to commit suicide by pouring petrol on himself in the police station late at night. He had taken this step in protest against the release of the accused arrested in the case of kidnapping and assault from the police station. However, the police stopped them from committing suicide by convincing them.
The matter pertains to the Tikrapara police station of the capital. Two days ago, BJYM leader Manish Sahu lodged a complaint of assault along with his abduction. The police had arrested the accused Harshvardhan by registering an FIR under non-vulnerable sections. In protest against the release of the accused from the police station late night, the BJYM leader tried to commit suicide by pouring petrol on himself in the police station. The police officers somehow managed to persuade the BJYM leader.
