BJP sounds bugle for Lok Sabha elections
With the commencement of the Lok Sabha election season, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) heralded the electoral battle in the state on Tuesday, as Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar virtually inaugurated 10 election offices across Haryana from Ambala.
In a notable development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally reached out to me during a phone call on Monday morning. During our conversation, the PM inquired about the prospects of securing all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state. I reassured him of our commitment to achieving victory in all 10 constituencies, thereby contributing to the formation of the BJP government for the third consecutive term at the Centre,” asserted Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
Speaking to party leaders and workers, the Chief Minister highlighted the significance of the occasion, stating, “The traditional onset of the election fervor with the enforcement of the model code of conduct is expected in the first week of March. However, for the BJP, the election bugle resonates today with the establishment of our election offices. The countdown has officially commenced, and our objective is crystal clear – to secure victory in all 10 Lok Sabha seats with wider margins.”
Acknowledging the potential challenges, Khattar cautioned against complacency, remarking, “Opposition parties will employ various tactics to mislead the public. The ‘Bharti Roko Gang’ is actively engaged, but the discerning people of Haryana recognize those truly dedicated to the state’s welfare. In the coming days, we will appoint election in-charges at every level, from Lok Sabha to Shakti Kendras. It is imperative for all party workers to discharge their duties efficiently and concentrate on their respective polling booths.”
Emphasizing the grassroots approach, the Chief Minister urged party workers to engage in door-to-door campaigns, urging citizens to cast their votes in favor of the BJP. He emphasized the importance of listening to the concerns of voters and cautioned against overconfidence, stressing that it could pose challenges for the party.
As the election machinery gears up, Haryana braces itself for a spirited electoral contest, with the BJP setting ambitious goals for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
