BJP’s focus on Mission 2027 in UP, micro-strategy to reach voters from booth to booth

Lucknow: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already intensified its election preparations for the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. With the aim of forming the government for the third consecutive time under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the party organization has started preparing a comprehensive strategy at the grassroots level. Panchayat elections may have been postponed for the time being, but BJP has decided to carry forward the preparations for the assembly elections on the lines of Pradhan elections. Under this, a detailed plan of micro management is being made from district to mandal, power center and booth level.

The party organization believes that the basis of victory in the assembly elections will be the strength of the booth level and direct contact with every voter. Under this thinking, the organization has started the process of deciding the responsibilities of the workers at each booth. The goal is that every supporter of BJP reaches the polling booth on the day of voting and exercises his franchise.

According to sources, the state organization has made booth management the most important part of the election strategy. The list of voters is being studied thoroughly at each booth. Different action plans are being prepared to connect new voters, maintain constant contact with old supporters and increase voting percentage. The party wants to ensure that its supporters are not deprived of voting at any booth.

According to BJP’s plan, the organizational structure will be further strengthened at the district, mandal, sector, Shakti Kendra and booth level. Clear responsibilities are being given to officials and workers at every level. Special emphasis is also being laid on activating booth committees, strengthening the role of Panna Pramukhs and organizing regular meetings at the local level.

The party believes that the personal contact model adopted in Panchayat elections can be effectively implemented in the Assembly elections also. For this reason, BJP is working on the strategy of direct communication with the voters by reaching out to the village, ward and mohalla level. The aim of the organization is to maintain constant public relations rather than being active only at the time of elections.

The state organization has instructed the workers to remain active from now on as part of election preparations. They have been asked to disseminate information about central and state government schemes to the common people, maintain contact with the beneficiaries and cooperate in solving local problems. The party believes that effectively conveying the government’s achievements and development work to the public will be important from the electoral point of view.

Under the micro management scheme, a separate profile of each booth is being prepared. In this, the number of voters, social structure, voting percentage of previous elections and performance of the party are being analyzed. Based on these data, booth-wise strategy will be made so that special campaigns can be conducted in weak areas and the lead can be maintained in strong booths.

Special attention is also being given to youth, women and first-time voters in the organization’s strategy. Preparations are being made to run different programs and public relations campaigns to reach out to these sections. Along with increasing the use of social media and digital mediums, traditional public relations campaigns will also be continued.

BJP leadership believes that elections are won not only by big public meetings but by strong organizational system at the booth level. For this reason, the responsibility of the workers at each booth is being fixed to maintain regular contact with the supporting voters of their area and ensure arrangements to take them to the polling station on the day of voting.

According to party insiders, the organization will also review booth level preparations from time to time. Regular reports will be taken from the districts and divisions and where the organization appears weak, the situation will be strengthened by running special campaigns. Apart from this, workers will also be given information about various aspects of election management and public relations through training programmes.

Political analysts believe that BJP has achieved remarkable success in the last several elections on the basis of booth management and organizational strength. In such a situation, this preparation started now for the 2027 assembly elections is being considered a part of the party’s long-term election strategy. Opposition parties are also busy in their respective preparations, but BJP has been the first to activate the organization and start creating the election environment.

At present, the date of Panchayat elections may not have been decided, but BJP has intensified its organizational activities keeping the Assembly elections in mind. Through micro management up to the booth level, direct contact with every voter and the strategy of increasing the voting percentage, the party wants to achieve the target of returning to power in Uttar Pradesh for the third consecutive time in 2027. The activities of the organization are likely to intensify in the coming months, due to which the election environment in the state will gradually become more active.
