Bollywood celebrities pay tribute to Pamela Chopra at prayer meet
Mumbai (IANS) | A prayer meeting in memory of screenwriter-singer Pamela Chopra, mother of Aditya and Uday Chopra and wife of legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra, was held at Yash Raj Studio in Andheri on Sunday. Many eminent personalities from the Hindi film industry attended the prayer meeting.
Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal, Preity Zinta, Zoya Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan and Aditya Roy Kapur all attended the meeting with the Chopra family.
Salman Khan, who was receiving death threats from members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, arrived under heavy security.
Others seen at Yash Raj Studios include director-actor Rakesh Roshan and his wife Pinky, writer-director Luv Ranjan, actress Shabana Azmi and her husband, writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar, former actress and wife of industrialist Anil Ambani, Tina Ambani, singer Nitin Mukesh and actor Riteish Deshmukh were included.
Pamela died on Thursday at the age of 75 after battling a long illness. He is survived by his two sons Aditya and Uday Chopra and daughter-in-law Rani Mukherjee (Aditya’s wife).
