Jogindernagar : The three-day inter-college boxing championship of Himachal Pradesh University began at Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Government College. On this occasion, Additional Director Higher Education Department, Himachal Pradesh Dr. Harish Awasthi came as the chief guest. He welcomed the present players, in-charges and officials from Himachal Pradesh University and the match referee and gave his best wishes to the players for their good performance.
He urged the players to play with discipline and sportsmanship without worrying about winning or losing. He also asked all the students to stay away from drug addiction. He also stressed the need to provide more professional and vocational education to the students and the need for one more educational building with the cooperation of the local people.

In the competitions held, in 51 kg category, Seema College defeated Kullu College, Miyani College defeated Rajpur College, Rampur College defeated Haripur Manali, Una defeated Bilaspur, Mandi defeated Sanjoli and in 54 kg, Kullu defeated Chamba, Dharamshala defeated Palampur. , Karsog defeated Sihunta, Sunder Nagar defeated Bilaspur, Una defeated Rampur and in 57 kg category, Jogindernagar College defeated Kotshera. On this occasion, team in-charges, officials, match referees, college professors and other staff members of various colleges were present.
