Brother-in-law attacked with a crowbar, sister-in-law bled to death

Raipur. In the capital Raipur, a brother-in-law accused his sister-in-law of witchcraft and beat her up. Brother-in-law told sister-in-law that because of your arrival I had to sell my farm and I have become poor. Then he hit him on the head with a crowbar and left him bleeding.

Police has registered an FIR in this matter. Taran Bai Banjare lodged an FIR in Kharora police station stating that she lives with her husband and children. He got married about 15 years ago. She was sitting in her courtyard on Monday night. Then his brother-in-law Kunwar Das Banjare came. He started abusing the victim while calling her ‘Thonhi’.

After this, accused Kunwar and victim’s mother-in-law Kamin Bai and sister-in-law Chandrawati Banjare together beat up the victim. During this, two people caught hold of his hand and the brother-in-law hit him with a crowbar. Due to which the victim bled to death. Kharora police has registered an FIR in this matter. However, the police say that after arresting the accused in the case, they have been released on bail.
