Brown sugar worth Rs. 55 lakh seized from Puri, 5 arrested

Puri: In a major success to Puri police, brown sugar worth as much as 38 grams of brown sugar estimated to cost around Rs. 55 lakh has been seized.

According to reports, Puri police seized brown sugar worth Rs. 55 lakh from Puri. Town police have detained as many as five persons including four brown sugar traders. The five arrests have been made from Gadadhar High School four-wheeler parking lot.

As much as 38 grams of brown sugar, Rs 7 lakh 32 thousand, one gun, four live bullets, nine mobile phones, three bikes and one four-wheeler has been seized by the Puri police.
