Bullying, FIR registered against Congress leader’s brother

Bilaspur. Anger spread among the villagers against the police for defending the brother of a Youth Congress leader accused of a deadly attack. They surrounded the police station, raising questions on the attitude of the police station officer. After the intervention of higher officials, a crime of attempt to murder has been registered on the complaint of the victim. According to the information, on October 2, Vikramjeet, brother of Youth Congress leader Vishwajeet Anant, along with his companions reached a hotel on Malhar Road where the victim Rakesh Kumar Nirnjak was sitting in an auto rickshaw to go somewhere. Accused Vikramjeet and others took him down from the auto rickshaw and beat him with kicks, punches and sticks. One of the accused, Balamjit, also attacked him with a stone, causing injury to his head. He somehow saved his life by running away.
