Burglary in SBI customer service center, police engaged in investigation
Korba. Unidentified thieves broke into the customer service center of SBI near Korba District Jail and stole Rs 70,000 kept in the locker. A year ago too, an incident of theft had come to light here in the month of September. Police have started investigation on the complaint of the operator of the customer service center. The matter is of Civil Line police station area.
Director Vikas Kumar told that on Wednesday evening he had closed the customer service center and gone to his home. When he came to work again on Thursday morning and opened the lock and went inside, he found the locker broken. On checking, 70 thousand rupees kept in the locker were found missing. After this he registered a case. On receiving the information, Civil Line police station reached the spot and started investigation.
The accused had entered inside the customer service center by breaking into the wall. Police have collected evidence from there. Finger prints have been taken. CCTV footage is being scrutinized to identify and trace the accused. The police have just registered a case against unknown accused. Let us tell you that a year ago in the month of September itself, thieves had stolen Rs 2 lakh 80 thousand by breaking the balcony of the customer service center at night. Its recovery has not been done yet. However, in that case the accused had fled leaving around Rs 40 thousand in cash in the bushes.
