Businessman dies in car accident, teacher wife and 3 others injured.
Balod. A tragic road accident in the Lohara police station area of the district claimed the life of a businessman driving a car, while his wife and two children sustained serious injuries. The accident occurred near Sambalpur Nursery when the car overturned after the driver swerved to avoid hitting a dog that suddenly appeared on the road.
According to reports, the family was traveling from Balod to their home in Devripasaud. Near Sambalpur Nursery, a dog suddenly ran onto the road. In an attempt to avoid hitting the dog, the driver lost control of the car, causing it to overturn. The accident was so severe that the businessman, Bhupendra Gupta, died on the spot, while his wife and two children were seriously injured. The incident caused panic at the scene.
Following the accident, local residents quickly broke the car windows to rescue the children trapped inside and rushed all the injured to the hospital. The injured woman is reportedly a teacher at a government school in Raghonavagaon. She and her two children are currently receiving treatment at the hospital, where their condition remains critical.
