Tesla will start production of new electric truck Semi by the end of 2025
America America: Tesla has said that its new electric truck “Semi” will start being manufactured at its Nevada factory by the end of 2025. The annual production capacity of this truck will be 50,000 units. Tesla will prepare for its mass production in the next few months.
The Semi truck was earlier scheduled to arrive in 2019, but now its production will gradually increase till 2026. In 2022, Elon Musk had said that the company would make 50,000 trucks by 2024, but this target has now been moved forward.
Tesla had to bring some essential goods from China to America, but this plan has been halted due to the US increasing tariffs on Chinese goods by up to 145%. The company has said that it is now rethinking its development plan, as trade policies are changing around the world.
