Guava is a food with low glycemic index. It is easily digested and absorbed slowly in the stomach and does not allow the glucose levels to rise. Guava is a fiber rich fruit which is considered good for keeping blood sugar levels under control. Fiber takes a long time to digest, causing glucose to be released slowly into your body. This reduces the risk of sugar spike. Diabetic patients should include guava in their diet.

The amount of calories in guava is very low. Therefore it does not affect your weight. Excessive weight can cause high blood sugar levels in the body.

vitamin C
