Case of attempt to murder, firing registered against three

Gate Hakima police arrested three accused of attempt to murder after they opened fire on a person in Bangla Basti area on Monday night.

The accused were identified as Rikshit Delhi, Ajay alias Bhidi of Annagarh and Sahil, also known as Chaga, of Indira Colony here.

Complainant Gurmeet Singh told police that he and his family were present at home on Monday night when they heard gunshots in the street outside their house. When he went to the terrace and saw, the three accused started abusing him and threatening to kill him.

Let us tell you that the accused retaliated with the intention of killing but he narrowly escaped. Let us tell you that when people started gathering outside, the accused ran away from there.

Police have registered a case under sections 506, 336, 34 of IPC and sections 25/27/54/59 of Arms Act.

Official investigator ASI Shamsher Singh said that the reason for the escape was an old enemy. Said that they are conducting raids to catch the fugitives.
