Case of robbery of Rs 20 crore in Reliance Jewelery showroom, two suspected accused arrested

Dehradun: Two suspected accused have been arrested in the robbery case of more than Rs 20 crore that took place on November 9 in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Both were arrested from Bihar. The gang members buy vehicles from OLX for most of the incidents. Also, gang members use portable signal jammers in most incidents.

The dacoits had maintained an operational hide house in Bihar. The dacoits had created a stir by committing a broad daylight robbery at the Reliance Jewelery showroom in Dehradun. Doon police have arrested two accused, including a suspected criminal who funded the accused involved in the robbery and those involved in the conspiracy. Many suspects including other accused are on the radar of Doon Police. Doon police investigation is going on in Bihar. Violent raids by different teams are also going on in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.

Police have received many important information related to this robbery. The teams that went to get information about similar incidents in Katni, Latur and Sangli also found that the incidents were carried out by the gang in a very vicious manner. A portable signal jammer was used by them during the incident. So that no sensor can be triggered on the spot nor any phone call can be made.

Use of portable signal jammers by the accused has also come to light in the incidents in Katni (Madhya Pradesh) and Sangli (West Bengal). Doon Police in Vaishali, Bihar had received information about Operation Secret Hideout of the accused. The dacoits involved in the robbery incident in Dehradun were also being controlled from here. Before carrying out the robbery, the dacoits used to gather at one place. From there he used to leave for his task.

After completing the task, the accused used to meet again at the same predetermined control hide out house. After that they used to decide further strategy. Important evidence of the accused involved in the Dehradun incident has been recovered by the police by raiding the Hide Out House in Vaishali, Bihar. In this secret hide out house, along with giving tasks, the gang members were provided weapons, money and information about vehicles, SIM cards and mobiles, clothes etc.

Important information has also been obtained regarding the funding given to the accused. In which the gang leader used to transfer money to the accused from inside the jail during the incident. SSP Ajay Singh said that even before the Dehradun robbery, money transactions were found in the accounts of the accused involved in the incident. The clothes worn by the accused during the incident while staying in the guest house in Haridwar have been found to have been purchased from a store in Najibabad from Haridwar. The police team from Najibabad has also found concrete evidence against the accused.

Also, accused Rohit arrested in Ambala, who was funding the accused involved in the West Bengal incident, the same connection has been recovered from the mobile phone of accused Amrit arrested by Doon police in Bihar. Vishal Kumar has also been arrested for his involvement in the conspiracy by providing logistics support and providing evidence of the incident like clothes, caps etc. worn by the accused during the incident. Accused Vishal used to provide virtual phones to the gang members. Due to which it was very difficult to trace the location of the gang members.
