Case registered against person for hurting religious sentiments

Punjab: On the complaint of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), police have registered a case against a man named Mohit Kapoor, who allegedly made objectionable remarks against the Golden Temple and the sacred lake.

SGPC Secretary Pratap Singh told the police that the suspect had made objectionable remarks against the temple and the Sikh community, which had hurt the religious sentiments of the devotees. Police registered a case against the suspect under section 295-A of the IPC. Police said that the suspect will be arrested soon.
