Caught 2 vehicles while disposing of illegal flyash, fined 78 thousand
Raigarh: Under the direction of Collector Taran Prakash Sinha, transportation and disposal of fly ash is being continuously monitored and checked by Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board, Raigarh. In the same sequence, today a fine of Rs 78 thousand has been imposed on two vehicles engaged in illegal flyash disposal.
Giving information, Regional Officer Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board District-Raigarh Ankur Sahu said that the fly ash transportation from Raigarh to Chaple Marg was investigated. During investigation, illegal flyash disposal was found at the site without permission. Environmental compensation of Rs 78 thousand at the rate of Rs 1500 per ton was imposed on both the above vehicles. Also, a notice was issued to the industry for proper management of flyash.
On the instructions of Collector Shri Sinha, the Environment Officer has issued WhatsApp number 7987033406 for information and complaints regarding illegal dumping and transportation of fly ash for the convenience of the general public. On which a message can be made to complain about illegal transportation and dumping of flyash.
