Censor board fired scissors on Rocky and Rani, know the matter

Karan Johar is coming with the love story of the upcoming film Rocky and Rani. The pair of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will once again be seen in the film. Both the stars are busy in promotion. Many songs of the film including the trailer have also been released so far. The film is in a lot of discussion even before its release. Meanwhile, the Censor Board has put scissors on the love story of Rocky and Rani. According to reports, the censor board has removed some derogatory and bold words from the film. Along with this, some major changes have also been made in the film.
Karan Johar is making a comeback in direction with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. This film is going to hit the big screen this month. Apart from Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi are also in important roles in the family drama. Before release, the film was reviewed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Along with this, the board has made many changes in it, calling some dialogues objectionable. According to a news portal, the derogatory word ‘bd’ used several times in the film was replaced with ‘sister di’, while the rum brand Old Monk was replaced with ‘Bold Monk’.
Reportedly, there was a reference to ‘Lok Sabha’ in one of the film’s dialogues and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was also mentioned. This dialogue has also been cut. By calling a dialogue a word derogatory to women, the board has fired scissors on this too. The word ‘bra’ was replaced with ‘item’. ‘Rocky and Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ got the censor certificate on 19 July. This movie is 2 hours 48 minutes long.
Regarding the film, Ranveer Singh had said that it is a complete Karan Johar package film. It gives wives with ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum’. Karan Johar is bringing back the kind of cinema that we have grown up watching on the big screen. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ is scheduled to release in theaters on July 28.
