Chandigarh: Man dies after being hit by a speeding car

Chandigarh: A family sleeping outside shops in Anaj Mandi, Sector 20, was allegedly run over by a car, killing one person while two others were injured. The deceased has been identified as Raju. Complainant Kedar Vargi, a resident of Rajasthan, who is living in Sector 20, said that they sell goods on the roadside. On Friday, he was sleeping outside shops in Anaj Mandi, Sector 20, along with his wife, brother, brother’s wife and four children, when a four-wheeler coming at a high speed ran over three people, including his brother, brother’s daughter Mousami and himself. He and his niece were injured in the accident, while his brother died. Police have registered a case against Puran Bisht, a resident of Nepal, under sections 106, 125 and 281 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).
