CHANDIGARH: One person arrested with 14 grams of heroin

Chandigarh: A 28-year-old man was arrested with heroin. The suspect, identified as Manpreet Singh of Khuda Ali Sher village, was caught near Dhanas Lake. Police seized 14.4 grams of heroin from his possession. Case registered against five for rioting Mohali: Police have registered a case against Ravinder Singh, resident of Chanalon (Kurali), and five unidentified persons for rioting and attempting to rob Harjinder Singh, resident of Sottal village, Rupnagar, near Padiyala bypass, at 10:30 pm on January 10. The complainant told that near Padiyala bypass, five unknown people stopped him by putting a truck in front of his car. The attackers beat him up, but when he raised an alarm, the suspects fled towards Kurali. A case was registered at Kurali City Police Station. Mohali: Police have registered a case against an unidentified car driver for hitting bike rider Sukhveer Singh, a resident of Badala Road, Kharar, near a filling station at Chappar Chiri on December 10, 2023. The complainant was injured in the accident. Later he was admitted to PGI Chandigarh for treatment.
