Chandigarh: Resident duped of Rs 1.12 crore
Chandigarh: A city resident was duped of Rs 1.12 crore by a fraudster. Jagmohan Singh Nanda of Sector 36 said that an unknown person called him and said that his son was involved in some crime. The fraudster demanded money from the complainant in the name of freeing his son. He got Nanda to transfer Rs 1.12 crore through several transactions. A case has been registered at the cyber crime police station.
3 arrested for misbehaving with policeman
Chandigarh: The UT police have arrested three persons for allegedly misbehaving and abusing policemen. Pawan posted at the IT Park police station said that Ravinder (53), Prince (20) and Sachev (22), residents of Shastri Nagar, misbehaved with SI Bhagwan Singh at the police station. He alleged that they also tore the SI’s uniform.
